Surf-N-Science Groms

This week long surfing intensive program has paired surfing with marine science to provide young marine enthusiasts the opportunity to develop surfing skills while gaining a real education in modern marine science. Learn how marine science has inspired the way surfing has developed into the amazing sport it is today. Explore ocean physics and board design, create your own surf art project, and compete in a MarineQuest beginners surfing contest. Familiarize yourself with surfing and paddleboarding equipment, techniques, and safety while gaining the skills needed to become a lifelong surfer.

Surf-N-Service

MarineQuest’s environmental and community service program is catching some waves this summer! Learn to surf while also completing 16 hours of community service.  Projects include coastal restoration efforts, citizen science initiatives and sharing the wonders of the ocean with underserved kids.  The fun doesn’t stop there!   Brush up on your leadership skills and learn how to be a strong team leader while serving and learning to surf.
